Day3 vs Kotoshogiku (Gogatsu-Basho 2010 May)

Grand Sumo Tournament Gogatsu-Basho Day3.
Baruto meets Komusubi Kotoshogiku.
Kotoshogiku is thought to be one of Next Ozeki candidates.
He has a very small body which is very mere in Makuuchi Division.
Why is he surviving in Makuuchi Division?
Because his rushing "Gaburiyori" is very effective for big wrestlers.
He dives inside opponent and makes opponent unbalance with attaching his head to opponent chest.

Baruto's starting is the point.

Baruto's waist position is still high(this should be improved ).
Baruto's armpits is closed tightly in both bout.
But today's Baruto prepared to push opponent upper body.
This is very big difference.

Kotoshogiku was unpowered because he could not dived inside.

I think Baruto has not gotten his top form yet.
But 3 wins until Day3!!

Day2 vs Homasho (Gogatsu-Basho 2010 May)

Today's opponent Homasho is ranked at Maegashira #2.

Past result between them is 6 wins' Baruto and only 1 win's Homasho.

Homasho is very polite and does not show "Henka" in his starting.

Oh,,,Homasho did "Henka" at starting.

I think Baruto did not predict this starting.

Homasho stepped forward with "Hazeoshi"(=pushing to armpis).

If Homasho pushes with lower postition,Baruto lost today.

Baruto once stood against Homasho pushing,Baruto grasped bel and pulled up.

After fight,Baruto shook his head,,,,,I know the reason.

Every opponents from today will try to trap Baruto at starting not to be pushed.

Day1 vs Tochinoshin (Gogatsu-Basho 2010 May)

Everybody knows first day after ozeki promotion is very important.
If he wins,he can make a good start.
But if he loses,he can not ride on a good wave.

Tochinoshin is from Georgia.
He has a good traditional sumo skills.

He chose pushing style like last tournament.
This style makes opponent threatened in this tournament.

Today we have first day of Grand sumo tournament Gogatsu -Basho.
Makuuchi division starts from about 16:00Japan time.
And ends at 18:00 Japan time.
