Grand Sumo Tournament Kyushu-Basho day 4.

Baruto vs Goeido.

Goeido this tournament is ranked at maegashira #1.

But he has already lost 3 until today.

Baruto chose slapping start.

But it did not work well.

Goeido got inside once and Baruto had straighted his waist.

Goeido power vector was upward.

Baruto power vector was downward with straight waist.

Goeido only to do was to pull in order to make Baruto lost balance.

Our Baruto meets Komusubi Goeido.

Goeido 4wins to Baruto 6 wins were past result.

How do you think first day bout?

I think Baruto's new tactics was "Hari-Dashi".

When he started,Baruto slapped Goeido's cheek.

This tactics sometimes makes opponent lost his rushing power.

Baruto gripped outside but his waist position was still high.

I have mentioned this high waist position matter.

But first day's win was the best result.

Day3 vs Goeido (Tech-Exam 2011 May)

Day3 Baruto(2-0) meets East Maegashira #1 Goeido(1-1).

Goeido has lost his sumo style for one year.

Once he went down to Jyuryo division.

But he regained his style and marked 11-4 in Jan tournanment at Maegashira #5.

Day2 vs Goeido (Haru-Basho 2010 Mar)

Goeido is from Osaka where now Haru-Basho is held.

A lot of fans called his name in this bout.

Baruto's finger injury influenced this bout.

Baruto did not grasp opponent belt today also.

I think Baruto seems to decide not to grassp belt.

But this tactics was not bad.

Because Baruto today and yesterday showed good "Ottuke"(=tight arm)

As I had mentioned until last tournament,his loose arm was his weak point.

But Baruto this tournament did good.

Something unexpected is happening because of finger injury.

Grand Sumo Tournament Day 12

Baruto meets Goeido.

Goeido defeated Yokozuna Asashoryu in this tournament.

Past result between them was 4 wins Baruto and 3 wins Goeido.

Baruto has to show his sprits.

Goeido used "KAWARIMI"(=changing at start).

Baruto could not do front attack.

Goeido attached his head to Baruto's breast.

This was good tactics of small wrestler against big wrestler.

Goeido pushed forward.

But Baruto pulled up Goeido with his powerfull right biceps.

Somebody said this was not smart sumo style.

I think win is win.

Today's opponent is Goeido.

He is a 183cm,138kg,23years old sekiwake ranker.

He has marked 5 wins 7 losses.

He defeated Ozekis in early days of  this tournament but 

he has lost his style now a days and now he stands at the edge.

 

Baruto used Goeido rushing power and lifted up Goeido with leverage power of "Kote"

Day3 vs Goeido (Haru-Basho 2009 March)

Goeido is Komusubi ranker who thought to be an Ozeki near future.

In last tournament,Baruto was said "KACHIMINI-OSOSI" 

which meant he did not rush even if he got his own style(both belt grasp something like that)

But in this tounament,He overthink to rush forwards 

even if he did not get his own style.

That's why smaller wrestler GOEIDO swang big wrestler BARUTO at the edge.

Baruto lost his lower position start and tightness of both arms.

Very bad style has been continued from 2nd day.

Goeido is a same SEKIWAKE ranker.
Both are 2 losses unti yesterday.
Goeido has something bad in his arm in this tournament.



Goeido was not good.
Now rush after Tachiai(=start) and Goeido was easy to be pulled by Baruto.

Today's Baruto got win very easily because of Goeido's condition.
1 win 2 losses until today.

Day2 vs Goeido (Nagoya-Basho 2008 July)

Baruto has long legs,,,Ozeki Kotooshu has also long legs.
But waist position are completely different between them.
Kotooshu is very lower than Baruto.
This is the reason why Bauro loose his body balance.

Today,,,Bauroto could grasp Goeido's(Megashir#4) belt in his style.
But Baruto could not show his power,,,yes,, the reason is his waist position.
I know Goeido put his head to Baruto's breast to be a good style.
so Baruto lost his power.

I think Baruto has to keep his waist lower.
