Baruto(12-0) meets Kotoshogiku(7-5).
Kotoshogiku who is in second tournament after Ozeki promotion, lost his sumo.
I think he had to be appeared to Media many times after last tournament.
He is lack of "Keiko"(=training).

Record is Baruto 17 wins against Kotoshogiku only 3 wins.
Baruto has beat 6 times per last 6 tournaments.
Baruto beat Kotoshogiku by Yorikiri in 2011 Nov tournament.

10 flags were appeared.
Baruto started with "Haridashi"(=slap).
And soon got his favorite style "Hidari Yotsu"(=left inside right outside grips).
Baruto outside grip was positioned far.
It meant it was hard to lift up opponent.
But Baruto lifted up Kotoshogiku!!
It was amazing.

Baruto lifted up and down  and made Kotoshogiku lost balance and threw Kotoshogiku completely by left inside.

His basic tactic is right outside grip and left inside grip.

Baruto meets Komusubi Kotoshogiku.
Kotoshogiku is thought to be one of Next Ozeki candidates.
He has a very small body which is very mere in Makuuchi Division.
Why is he surviving in Makuuchi Division?
Because his rushing "Gaburiyori" is very effective for big wrestlers.
He dives inside opponent and makes opponent unbalance with attaching his head to opponent chest.

I guess Kotoshogiku had planned his strategy carefully.

Kotoshogiku did not allow Baruto to grasp his belt.

Kotoshogiku got inside of Baruto and made use of his big berry to lift Baruto up(="Gaburiyori")

Baruto's start was very dull.

His waist position was very high and stepping forward pressure was loose.

But this defeat comes to Baruto's senses certainly.

Day6 vs Kotoshogiku (Kugatsu-Basho 2009 Sep)

Past resulut between Kotoshogiku and Baruto are almost tie.

When Kotoshogiku won, he dived to Baruto's waist position and rushed.

When Baruto won, he sometimes pulled up Kotoshogiku .

Until last bout,their bouts were typical small wrestler vs big wrestler one.

But today's bout are quite different from the past bouts.

Baruto rushed quickly without grabbing koto's belt.
In this tournament, Baruto is using his left arm efficiently.
You know "Ottuke"?
Baruto pressed Kotoshogiku's right arm by his left arm.
Baruto did not care whether he grab opponent belt or not.

This is called "Ottuke".

This style can be seen also yesterday's bout against Hakuho.

Hakuho was HIKIOTOSHI ed by Shotenro.

Their debu date were same and came from same country Mongol.

But Hakuho is Yokozuna and Shotenro is promoting very very slowly.

I think Hakuho underestimates Shotenro.

Hakuho's start was not sharp today cause of lack of concentration.

Today's bout has a big meaning for Baruto fans.

If Baruto won today,he marks 11 wins.

It means Baruto will be Komusubi next tournament.

And also it means this tournament is beginning for promoting to Ozeki.

To promote to Ozeki, a wrestler is needed at least over 33wins before promotion.

What an amazing Sumo!

Baruto passed 11 wins line!

In this tournament,He did not fight against Yokozuna.

And no wins were gotten from Ozekis.

So the fact Baruto defeated Kisenosato sekiwake and Kotoshogiku komusubi is very important.

We,Japanese,love his Sumo style because of his strength bette than his small boday size.

This bout is this tournament's Baruto tuch stone whether Baruto marks big result or not.

Baruto won by way of "hatakikomi"

This meant Baruto overthink to win.

His waist position was higher than last tournament.

Kotoshogiku lost but he showed a good sumo.
