Hi! Thank you, ChuChai san, for running this blog! I enjoy it very much...

An question: Why is there a rule that two Rikishis from the same Beyas can't meet in a match? It seemingly makes sense - as it rules out cheating in form of pre-agreed matches. BUT... there wouldn't be an incentive to let another guy systematically win and I presume an average proportion of wins 50%-50%. On the other hand... thanks to the rule mentioned, currently there are two Ozekis who don't have to fight each other - as all other higher rank Rikishis have to, now THAT'S an unfairness! The rule should be overlooked.

hi! Thank you for posting comment.
Same stable Rikishi can not fight each other which is only a traditional rule. But if they tie wins in day15,they have to fight in Play-Off.In the case of Yokozuna Takanohana vs Yokozuna Wakanohana, they fought in Play-off.And Takanohana lost. They belongs to Takanohana beya and they are brothers.Waka is elder.
We sumo fans think it was not a real bout.
I think same stable rikishi should not fight in regular bout, because I wonder they can concentrate on bout or not.
