Day1 Baruto vs Miyabiyama (Hatsu-basho 2012 Jan)

Grand Sumo Tournament Hatsu-Basho Day1 at Ryougoku Kokugikan.
大相撲 初場所 第1日 両国国技館。

Baruto meets former Ozeki Miyabiyama.
Miyabiyama marked 11 wins 4 defeats in last Kyushu-Basho 2011 Nov.
And returns to Komusubi after 5 years.
I think this is first record the "Rikishi" come back to "Sanyaku"(=upper than Komusubi rnak) after 5 years.

Baruto's record against Miyabiyama stands at 9 wins and 5 defeats.
"Kensho"(=winners prize) flags were 14.
I think many flags is kind of tip for new years.

Baruto chose a pushing start.
Miyabiyama is also pusher but he is puller.
Push and pull is Miyabiyama's special tactics.

Baruto was caught by this tactics.
But today Baruto could stay inside the ring!
I think Baruto supposed Maiyabiyama pulling.

Baruto re-attacked well.
Step work was unstable and waist positioned highly.
But pushing focused well.
Baruto plused his weight 4 kg but his motion looks sharp.

No defeats give Baruto a rythem.

Ozeki Baruto w(OSHIDASHI)L Miyabiyama Komusubi

1 win 0 defeats.

Day7 vs Miyabiyama (Gogatsu-Basho 2010 May)

Grand Sumo Tournament Day7

Baruto fights against Maegashira#1 Miyabiyama.
Miyabiyama is a former Ozeki.
Past result are 5 wins Miyabiyama and 8wins Baruto.
But They met 3 times and Baruto defeated 3 times in recent 6 tournaments.
I like last their bout onDay13 2010Mar tournament.(CLICK HERE)

Baruto crashed Miyabiyama completely.
I think Baruto has finished his warm up .

He has regained his rocket pushing start!!

7 continuous wins!!

Day13 vs Miyabiyama (Haru-Basho 2010 Mar)

Miyabiyama is a former ozeki age 32.
Miyabiyama means
"Miyabi"=elegance,graceful
"Yama"=mountain.
His sumo style is a push and rusher.
Baruto targeted Miyabiyama's neck.
It is called "Nodowa"(=pushing with finger circled around throat).
Baruto suceeded in making Miyabiyama unbalanced.
Steppng forward pressure was very high.
Finally Baruto crashed down Miyabiyama by "Tsukitaoshi".
We can feel Baruto improving his pushing style in this tournament.

Evrery sumo fans think he is a real ozeki than now ozekis.
12 wins!!!
If we Baruto gets one more win,,,,,,,our Baruto will promote to Ozeki.

sekiwake BARUTO ○(TSUKITAOSHI)× MIYABIYAMA maegashira#7

Day13 Digest

Day8 vs Miyabiyama (Kugatsu-Basho 2009 Sep)

Miyabiyama was ozeki in the past.
His sumo style is pusher.

Baruto likes this kind of big target pusher,I think.
This bout had been tought to be pushing each other.

Final submission was "UWATE-DASHINAGE".
Baruto started carefully and pushed.
And grabbed opponent belt by his left arm and threw.

Nothing to say today.
Baruto today did sumo logically .

komusubi BARUTO ○(UWAYE-DASHINAGE)× MIYABIYAMA maegashira #2

6 wins 2 looses.

Day1 vs Miyabiyama(Nagoya-Basho 2009 July)

Baruto is ranked Megashira #3.
He fell from sekiwake rank but Maegashira #3 raker fights against almost same wrestlers as sekiwake ranker.

This tournament is Baruto's touch stone time.
I think Baruto try to change his starting style.
Baruto use his scale merit .
Before last tournament,he started with static position and rush.
But today he started with declining forward with moving.
Good Tachiai(=start)

Hatakikomi today was not a bad .
He seems to be able to watch opponent motion.

magashira #3 BARURO ○(HATAKIKOMI)× MIYABIYAMA maegashira#4

Day1 vs Miyabiyama(Haru-Basho 2009 March)

Miyabiya is maegashira #3 ranker well known as a former Ozeki in his younger days.
His fighting style is pusher.

I think Baruto loves this type fighter.
Miyabiyama = Big target.
Miyabiyama = rush straightly no change on start.

Baruto's rushing power completely struck Miyabiyama's body out of Dohyo(= ring).

Day14 vs Miyabiyama (Hatsu-Basho 2009 Jan)

Today's opponent is Maegashira #2 Miyabiyama.
He has already marked over 8 losses.

Past result between Baruto and Miyabiya was 3 wins Baruto and 5 wins Miyabiyama.

Miyabiyama was Ozeki from 2000July to 2001 Sep.
He is 31 years old and 188cm tall.

"MIYABI" means elegance. "YAMA" means mountain.

Great win!
Great "KACHIKOSHI"=over 8 wins!

Baruto really concentrated on this bout!

If Baruto as usual pushed this way, he would take care of an opponent after he pushes away.
Today's Baruto keeped severe eyes and no smile after win.

We are waiting for this Baruto to pursuit victory on the "DOHYO" = ring.

sekiwake BARUTO ○(OSHIDASHI)× MIYABIYAMA maegashira#2

Baruto marked 8 wins 6 losses today.

Day11 vs Miyabiyama (Kugatu-Basho 2008 Sep)

Miyabiyama is a good at pushing.
So Baruto's big body is good enough to be pushed.
How does Baruto solve this problem?

komusubi BARUTO ○(OSHIDASHI)× MAIYABIYAMA maegashira#1
Baruto changed to shift his body to left.
But,,,i n order to be a good fighter,Baruto should not do this kind of starting manner, I think.
because Baruto has a big body,i want him to use his genuine in right way.

After 11ths day, Baruto records 4wins 7losses.

July 15, 2008

Day1 vs Miyabiyama(Nagoya-Basho 2008 July)

Why Baruto tried to continue to push?
Miyabiyama is push-rush type wrstler,,,so Baruto did not have to continue to push?

Baruto has his style to right hand cross over,,

Baruto pls,,,concentrate to keep his waist position lower than now.

BARUTO ×(OSHITAOSHI) ○MIYABIYAMA

Day12 vs Miyabiyama (Gogatu-Basho 2008)

Baruto got his 9th losts today.

He lost his balance when he changed position with turning.
I think Baruto's lower extremity is not enought to stand for shifting weight quickly now.

He is needed to make his knee stronger.....
