Today our baruto Ozeki promotion was decided by "Rijikai"(= board).
The messenger came to a temple near "Onoe Beya"(=his satable)'s lodge during spring tournament.
Baruto and his master Onoe and his wife accepted message.
Baruto said his declare in Japanese.

"Strong and Gentle Ozeki" was born.

Historical day, Chuchai san! We had little celebration today. One great Estonian, Artur Talvik, have made a great motion picture about Baruto, approximately 3 years ago. Movie’s name is “Baruto - lost in translation”. Movie, how he moved to Japan, how he struggled to adapt to the culture, how his mother felt about it, how Baruto made his way to the top division, how he got injured.
Great movie. Oyakata did not allow to show that movie in public theaters, but Artur got permission to show that to “friends and fans”. I hope, You can see that movie some day as well… Maybe it’s possible to translate it to Japanese.
There were several Japanese TV channels visiting Estonia this weekend. They visited Baruto’s fist dohjo, interviewed his mother and first coach :)
Wow!! That's EXCELLENT news! Whilst we all knew Baruto-san's promotion was coming, it's still a great thrill to hear that it has actually happened!!
