I am saddened to hear of Baruto-san's decision to retire, but am certain he made it for all the right reasons.
The joy Baruto-san has brought us throughout his sumo career will never be forgotten. Baruto-san has been an exemplary role model in determination to achieve, grace-under-pressure, and good humour.
On a personal level, Baruto-san was responsible for me taking an interest in sumo at all. As I am not really interested in sport generally, that too is a huge achievement! I am also inspired by his learning of the japanese language.
A huge "hontou arigatou gozaimasuuuuu!!!" to Baruto-san!!
And the same to you, Chuchai-san, for this website. We really appreciate your dedication, and I hope you find another sumo hero to follow, so that we can continue to enjoy your sumo broadcasts!!
