Day15 vs Kakuryu (Kugatu-Basho 2008 Sep)

If Baruto wins today,he will be upper ranker SEKIWAKE in the next tournament.

If he losses today,he will lost KOMUSUBI position in the next tournament.

There are big differences between 7wins 8losses(=MAKEKOSHI)  and 8wins 7losses(=KACHIKOSHI) .

They fought three times!

First was judged Kakuryu's step out and Baruto's step out timing was same.

So they did TORINAOSHI(=re-fight)

Second was judged Baruto did not touch ground enough at staring.

Third was Baruto used hid body size enough.

First fight Baurto should shift hs waist positon lower not to step out his left leg.

I think Baruto thought Kakuryu would be injured if he continued to rash.

This is baruto's kind scene maybe because he has known sadness of injured time.

I want to emphasize Baruto is a very strong with hearty and kind finghter.

Toyonoshima is Sekiwake,a upper ranker.

He has a good skills.

The point is Tachiai(=beginning).

Baruto succeeded in Tachiai,he could grip Tonyonoshima's Mawashi(=belt).

Baruto could  throw Toyonoshima by his right arm.

Baruto is 198cm.

Toyonoshima is 171cm.

Body size is very matter when baruto grip other's belt.

Day3 vs Ama (Kugatu-Basho 2008 Sep)

Ama is a mongolian and upper ranker than baruto.

Baruto won in last July tournament.

Baruto have to think more and concentrate on the beginning when he fight against upper ranker.

Ama got his body just inside of Baruto, so Baruto could not do anything without pull.

Day2 vs Koto-oshu (Kugatu-Basho 2008 Sep)

Koto-oshu is ranked Ozeki and he is from Bulgaria.

Past results were Baruto 1 win 2 losts against Koto-oshu.

Baruto could not grip Koto-oshu's mawashi(=belt).

Kot0-oshu rushed but Baruto swang koto-oshu by using his left arm.

This was Baruto's  style. He likes to use left arm under opposite man's arm(=hidari yotu).

but he could not grip Koto's belt ,so he hang up with pulling his left arm(=sukui nage).

This was also his way.

And I think Koto-oshu's waist position was not enough to rush strongly.

This was reason Koto coul not suceeded to win. 

In the interview,he said he had not known what happened when Koto-oshu was swung easily.

Day1 vs Asashoryu (Kugatu-Basho 2008 Sep)

Sumo world is surrounded by a big scandal now.

But 1st day of Kugatu(=Sep)-Basho was held.

Baruto met a big wall from 1st day.

Asashoryu is Yokozuna and Baruto had not been able to win until today.

Baruto is ranked Komusubiin this tournament.

This is his first time to be ranked Komusubi,it means he has to fight against upper ranked from beginning.

The result was not bad.

Baruto could gripped Yokozuna's belt and could make Yokozuna feel pressure,so

Yokozuna pulled .

This meant Baruto did a  good fight.

Theses days ,Marijuana shock had made a big cloud above Sumo world.

The conclusion was layoff of both Russian guys.

And top director KITANOUMI decided to quit the top role and MUSASHIGAWA(former YOKOZUNA MIENOUMI) took a role of the top.

Kugatu Basho will be started on Sep.14.

New ranking was annonced by Japan Sumo Association.

Our Baruto is ranked Komusubi.

This is his first time to be KOMUSUBI.

KOMUSUBI  is first step to be Ozeki,,so 

Be a brave fighter,Baruto!

Marijuana Shock is to be continued..

Russian sumo tori ROHO and HAKUROHO were suspected .

Their urine was inspected and the answer was marijuana takers.......

But they are denying this suspicious .

Japan Sumo Association has ordered further inspection,,,new result will be shown on Sep 5th.

The point is WAKANOHO who had been fired by  is also Russian.

It reminds something.
