　大相撲の大関琴光喜関（３４）＝本名・田宮啓司、佐渡ケ嶽部屋＝が、野球賭博へのかかわりを口外しない見返りとして、現金を要求されていた疑いがあることが２２日、捜査関係者への取材で分かった。

　警視庁組織犯罪対策３課は同日、琴光喜関本人から任意で事情聴取し、事実関係について直接説明を求めた。

　捜査関係者によると、琴光喜関は違法のプロ野球賭博に関与していた疑いがあるとされ、勝ち金を要求したところ、「賭博にかかわっていることをばらされたくなければ、口止め料を払え」という趣旨の脅迫を受けたとされる。

　琴光喜関は報道陣に対し、２２日までに野球賭博への関与について「まったく知らない。（脅迫も）まったくない」と全面否定しており、組対３課にも同様の説明をしたとみられる。

Yesterday after tournament Ozeki Kotomitsuki was detected by Metropolitan Police Department.

The reason was Kotomitsuki was concerned with illegal betting for baseball.

The suspicion was Kotomitsuki was intimidated by crime syndication.

Kotomitsuki won betting and he requested money back and the gang said if you want not to be opend this illegal matter to public,pay hush money.

Kotomitsuki denied this suspicion to Police department.

Now this scandal is under investigating.
